you’re giving a set number of skill tokens at birth, making a time machine is very hard, so you must use all of your tokens towards that, leaving you with atrocious shooting skills

You’d think they would have the time to overcome their shortcomings with practice given, you know, the time travel. But maybe they took the impatience flaw for some extra points.

my dad, who was a history buff, always said he didn’t like the whole “kill hitler” thing, cause his idea of killing hitler meant Herman Guerring, hitler’s top military general, would come into power and not make the hundred mistakes hitler made and make us all live in a german hellscape

What a time traveler should really do is go back in time and kill Gavrilo Princip’s parents before he was born.

No matter how this ends, he’s going to leave the world a much worse place than before. No telling how this is all going to play out but some very very bad scenarios are definitely on the table.

The problem is that they’d cause a paradox by killing him, destroying their timeline and causing them to never travel back so their attempts are doomed to fail.

And it’s not even just the people traveling here from the future trying to do it, it’s also travelers from the past.

In the future the new ballroom is really ugly and it makes a lot of people angry. So they have been trying to stop it by using time travel, witchcraft, waffle house, etc.

Because they know that in 200 years or so the planet Earth will be designated as an intergalactic ballroom for the trade federation talks. Most of humanity will be destroyed to make way for the pouring of the concrete.
