Cevilia (she/they/…)
40 year old she/her or they/them or any pronoun. I’m a woman… I think. I pretend to be an elf on the Internet. Lesbian-leaning bi, mostly attracted to femininity in all its beautiful forms.
I use tone indicators.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How come Netflix removed the N from their shows, kind of make it seem like they borrow all the stuff? I usually use it for a segway into other shows/movies not made by them?English

(sorry, couldn’t resist)
I’m not even a man and I’d totally go in, order a round of hot chocolates, and start building a ramp.
This under-counts. There are plenty of women who don’t feel comfortable being called “girls”, after all. So what you end up with here is a subset of women. :)

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•You've got 1 week left to play Anthem, the game that mortally wounded the one-time king of RPG studiosEnglish
1·2 days agoI really enjoyed FFXIV for a few months a couple of years back (my character there is still my profile picture here) but I really prefer to own my games now. I can go back and play Skyrim any time I want to, but if I want to boot up FFXIV I have to either make a new trial account or basically buy it again, and after a month, I’ll be back in exactly the same position.
Unfortunately this is happening too late in the day for me to attend.
Hopefully there’s a watch-on-demand version available after the event. I’ve dabbled in OSM mapping recently and I’d love to help out. :)
Good girl :)
The amount of effort you must’ve put into the background research alone is incredible.
Thank you so much for your pre-emptive attempts to protect us.

Third base.
No. None of us will get out of this alive.
Can Hackerman tell me my IP please? I can never remember where that’s hidden. Thanks!

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•When I was a kid, computers expanded your mind and your freedoms, bringing power to the individual. With AI, now it does the thinking for you, takes your job, gives power only to a few billionaires.English
8·3 days agoI’m pleased to inform you that you are wrong.
A large language model works by predicting the statistically-likely next token in a string of tokens, and repeating until it’s statistically-likely that its response has finished.
You can think of a token as a word but in reality tokens can be individual characters, parts of words, whole words, or multiple words in sequence.
The only addition these “agentic” models have is special purpose tokens. One that means “launch program”, for example.
That’s literally how it works.
AI. Cannot. Think.

Off My Chest@lemmy.world•I can't stand the hatred against MinnesotaEnglish
11·3 days agoI can reassure you that I, for one, don’t hate Minnesota.
In fact, I don’t think about it at all, because it’s a place halfway around the world I didn’t even know existed. I thought Weird Al made it up as a funny-sounding place name that has a big twine ball.

Much cheaper to post single sketches on TikTok. Or hire David Mitchell and call it a panel show.

I’d like to say I upvote anything that I think is a positive addition to the community it’s posted in, regardless of whether I agree with it substantively or not. But honestly, it’s all just vibes.
Downvotes aren’t a thing on my instance and I like it that way.
