1. Go to supermarket
  2. Pick up the largest sack of potatoes/cat litter/bulk dry goods you can find (lift with your legs) or two if one’s not enough for you
  3. Carry them around a bit while you pretend to look at other items (cardio)
  4. Change your mind, put them back
  5. Leave without making any purchase
  6. Repeat until sufficient fitness achieved

    Buy two 25L camping water bottles

    Get strong stick

    Tie strong stick to handles of both water bottles.

    Add equal quantities of water to bottles.

    Instant adjustable weights, and emergency water storage (keep it clean, mold is inedible and inevitable)

    The biggest sack of potatoes in my store is 5lb (2.3kg). But kitty litter… that you do have to lift with your legs.

      In the store where I work, we sell a 10kg (~22.1 lb) sack that’s superb for getting my reps in, but yeah, lots of things might work for you! :)

    During the covid lockdown I literally lifted salt stones meant for cattle, since the gyms were closed and all the kettlebells were sold out. Was super cheap.
