Most of this privacy fetish is purely performative though. Again, I have met almost no actual leftists that support Russia. Those are a strawman and maybe a tiny fringe group on the net. One thing I’ve seen is that most leftists show their solidarity to the population of those countries which may get misconstrued by bad actors as solidarity to the countries themselves. Why do you ally yourself to people who call russians subhumans?
Pretty good actually. Once you go outside and actually try to organize you will quickly realize that most of those so called tankies are human beings that you can talk with and that leftist movements are way too small for it to be a good idea to split up in groups that fight each other instead of the common enemy.
There are some people and organizations on the left that I dislike but that is mostly because their structure facilitates concealment of abuse in their own ranks. I don’t have anything against them from a broader political perspective.

Das stimmt so wie du es gesagt hast. PdL wird von Gruppierungen und Einzelpersonen links der Partei genutzt um zu differenzieren und sich abzugrenzen. Die PdL ist als parlamentarische, reformistisch sozialdemokratische Partei sehr anders als Organisationen wie die KP und RKP sowie zahlreiche sozialistische Jugendverbände.
