I’d argue the opposite, Lemmy was in a decay and Trump and the go European movement prompted a new influx of users to Lemmy. External events didn’t cause the dip, but the recovery.

I don’t think the people are waking up to the anti-trans propaganda, rather, the cost of living crisis has pushed transphobia down in their list of priorities.

Except for a few countries, Trump’s victory has slowed or even stalled the growth of fascist parties in Europe: what they want to bring is now in full display.
