When you realize they don’t believe anything that comes out of their mouth, and they only use words instrumentally to get their way, you understand.
Spend more time with the kids. It’s ok. You don’t need capitalism’s permission.
Let’s be honest here. Most corporate r&d is another flavor of soft drink. We’ll be fine without. Most actual research is autists (complimentary) pursuing their special interest. They don’t need daddy dollar to tell them their work it’s important. They feel it.
Spend time with your kids.
Then don’t do it. We can tell when it’s a crass cash grab anyway.
It’s an open secret that both accounts are actually Elon. Which is doubly sad.
It’s the Mountain all over again.
Still better than most posts in this community.
“Intellectual diversity” is always code for “you have to be nice to the bigots and the eugenicists”.
Oh yeah, totally. It’s mostly about building a new factory somewhere where they are allowed to exploit the workers harder, and shutter the original one. They don’t just load the building into an Antonov or something.
Read back your comment. Does it sound like an honest, good faith effort at dialog?
I’m blocking you now and I’m not going to think twice about this exchange.
They move the factory though. Even if you don’t raise taxes.
You’re claiming “forests” (“militaries treat young, enlisted lives as expendable for unnecessary wars”)
Read my comment again. You are reading things that are not there.
Spending money on people is ok. Government running a surplus is theft from society.
I completely agree!
I could never square the fact that most men obviously aren’t rapists or abusers with the fact that a large fraction of women are victims of sexual violence or abuse. Until I learned that the recidivism rates for these offenses are astronomical and that conviction rates are abysmal.
Basically, only a (relatively) small fraction of the men are actually perpetrating the violence, but we built a system that allows them to visit that violence against victim upon victim with very little consequences. And that’s not a mistake, it’s a reflection of what our societies value. That is what life is like under patriarchy and rape culture. And if you are not actively fighting against it, you are complicit.
That sounds like way more effort than shouting at the “feminists” in your head.

I don’t have to imagine, I used to work in commercial r&d. What you are describing is the reality for almost everyone under capitalism already.
No one ever got rich by working hard. The rich got rich by exploiting the work of others.
