A fundamental part of TV mechanics, the token friend exclusion principle. Two friend can’t access the occupy minority token state at a once.
Stephanie Beatriz who plays Rosa on Brooklyn 99 talks about this. She was auditioning and heard Melissa Fumero got the role for Amy. Stephanie said she was happy and sad because she knew that there was no way they would put two latina women on the show.
I’m so glad they put both.
I love both of their characters so much. Rosa I especially like because I don’t think I’ve seen a character like her in that way (not saying there isn’t just that I haven’t seen it) but also the affect that Stephanie puts on to play her is amazing.
I was disappointed and my dreams of romance (ha!) were shattered when I heard Stephanie’s real voice.
Hmm yeah, 90% of my friends IRL are queer
is the image from “our flag means death” or whatever that goofy show was? I should get back to that one
Looks like it. Characters seem to match up with this poster.

I love that show.
I never knew i wanted to see a bunch of faggy pirates doing pirate things.
Right? And it’s not even that separated from reality. I got major spoilers from Steade’s Wikipedia page.
Apparently I was that “one person” and now I’m absolutely positive only one of my old friends would even acknowledge my existence if they met me now. I mean I still look basically the same, I haven’t been on hrt long, but yeah.
Now all my friends are one of the letters or another. Most of them are transmasc/nb
I should rewatch that show
We were all robbed. Same with owl house.
