I’d vote for Newsom. He’s not my favorite person but he’s a fine politician. I’d prefer a more progressive candidate (and will vote for one in primaries) but I honestly think Newsom would be good for the country.
I mean, I’ll vote for a turd in a hat over Trump, but I won’t be happy about it. I voted for Biden, I voted for Harris. But they’re awful candidates and were/would have been unable to address the core issues of our nation.
Newsom won’t do anything either. He’s another moderate Democrat who doesn’t know the struggles of the average American, but he’s learned to mimic Trump’s bully-esque messaging style. He’ll just continue exacerbating the core issues setting up the GOP for another long slide towards outright fascism, just like Biden did.
I’m worried about anyone who writes in all caps seeking more power.
