Hi all, I’ve been wanting to start building muscle in key areas to help me get a specific figure. I know I’d like to work on my core and my hips, but I don’t really know anything about what exercises to do.

If anyone has tips or recommended routines I’d appreciate hearing them, otherwise I guess I’ll just post as I learn 😅

I did a bunch of home workouts for a while. I can recommend Pamela Reif’s weekly training plans because it’s just something that’s easy to follow but not very monotonous. You can find them in her app (Pam app). Be aware that building muscle on estrogen is much harder and more tedious than on testosterone, so keep at it :)

For the muscles around the hip I use this excercise.

For everything bum and thigh related there is squat, deadlift, lunge and hipthrust. All work more or less the same muscles. If you reach advanced levels then the difference starts to comes into play.

For routines there are good booty workouts out there. Essentially just keep repetitions to 5-15(adjust difficulty accordingly), rest between workouts, get good sleep, food, etc.

hey, I highly recommend getting a gym membership. for me, having a routine and making it a ritual to get to the gym made it like a sunk cost fallacy thing so now i stay for 30m to an hour because i had to go out of my way to get there. they have body length mirrors to check progress. youll need to focus on eating a lot if you find gaining weight difficult. i ate literal blocks of cheese to compensate for my metabolism. not the healthiest, but plenty of fat and protein. it worked like a charm.

Oh, I’m aiming for more body recomposition, not weight gain. I’m happy with my weight.

I might go to a gym, but for now it looks like there’s plenty of body weight exercises I can do at home. A gym sounds like a great step after that, though!
