I decided I’ll bake bread, make strawberry lemonade popsicles, and have at least one cat near me.

The cat does not agree :<

There are 8 billion people and a sizable percentage which are telling the rest how they ought to be. As long as you’re decreasing needless and avoidable suffering for yourself and others where you can that’s all I really mind. Anything else is fair game. Being strange and powerful doesn’t mean someone is a good person or a bad person. It could really go either way.

As far as I’ve found so far the only consistent way to measure moral or immoral action is decreasing or causing needless and avoidable suffering. Not all suffering is unnecessary like surgery, exercise, or mental healing. So beyond people going out of their way to cause needless and avoidable suffering everyone should be free to do what they want.

And this has what, precisely, to do with the price of tea in China again? Or are we playing a game of non sequitur? if so, my move is:

          ahem

          I’ve got new socks on!

The post is about someone feeling policed by others. Beyond the above I think people should be free to do what they want.

Are you sure you’re in the right group? (Hint: check the rules. Probably not.)

Yep, I’m a woman and I’ve posted here before.

I still don’t understand where anything about this post talks about China or tea. I’m just trying to make sense of this string of comments.

ETA: screenshot of the post I see, with context

Look up the phrase “the price of tea in China”. Then consider that perhaps things that make no sense literally may be an idiom rather than literally meant.

The clue might also lie with me referring to playing the game “non sequitur”.

Yeah, I’m not sure what’s going on in this comment section at all. People seem to be getting worked up about it and the voting ratio makes me think it’s happening for a number of people. A glitch would make sense. I’m definitely confused.

No, you’re being a fucking contrarian. So far off subject you lost sight of your own nose. Read the room.

Are you seeing a post about Chinese tea or a picture with this quote “Women are taught to be too many things that contradict each other so I’ve decided to just be strange and powerful.” - Shatara Leor. Because I literally referenced the quote itself in my original comment and at least for me that’s the content that I’m seeing on this post. I’ve been keeping with the sentiment of the post and my comment about it which itself is inline with the content. I’m not sure how that’s contrarian or off subject.
