It took me 6 times to figure out what was being said here.

This is like in 3rd grade, when we had a spelling assignment. The word was “Poison Ivy”.

And she said this verbally. We would then have to write the spelling on paper.

So when she said “Poison Ivy”, I raised my hand. This wasn’t an assignment with student participation. So when she called on me, I said “Mrs Brooks, do you mean Poison I-V-Y? Thats the one I had in my list.”

She facepalmed. But I still maintain that’s on her for just giving a piece of paper with a list of words to memorize for a week, and expecting us to know how they’re pronounced. At 7 years old, I didn’t think Ivy was pronounced I-V. I thought it was more like “Ivv-E”. So I thought she just started spelling it, and left off Y. So either I’m being asked to spell Poison IV, which wasn’t on my list, or she just made a mistake by forgetting the Y.

Not my fault a teacher never taught her students, and now a student sounds dumb after being taught by her. I was just getting clairification. Did she make a mistake? Or is my list the wrong one? No, I was just a dumb kid, being taught by lazy teachers.

This is what computers feel like these days. Remember when you just BOUGHT the hardware, AND the software? So there was a reasonable expectation that the products were to do what we wanted them to do.

Now, somehow WE are the products. We own nothing. And it gets more restrictive every generation.

Even Android is becoming more closed source. And it will soon be harder to avoid AI. Android is still a google product remember. And you KNOW google wants us all using AI.

This was a big factor for me using linux for the past year, despite not knowing what I’m doing. Don’t know what I’ll do about cell phone though.
