wait wait wait, in the US firefighters are appointed by politicians?
Why is everything over there politically? Why the fuck are judges appointed by a president?
My favorite is that the coroner is often voted in. How does politics even remotely factor in to their jobs?
Fire commissioner yes, the low level firefighters, no.
