      I guess they could always add more, although it won’t show on the majority of clients anyway so I can see why they didn’t bother.

        Probably up to 100 or 255. That’s a lot for a name (unless you’re a 19th century royal) but certainly not infinity. Of course a 1MB name would really slow down the server and clients.

          Yeah that’s one reason why an uncapped character limit for a profile name would be a pretty bad idea.
