Went well! Felt validated and glad I didn’t have to fight to justify my identity.

The GP is currently in the process of contacting the clinics to check on the waitlist for public. Hope it isn’t too long, but not getting my hopes up😔

Anyway, thats it

I hope it goes well! 🤞

What country are you in? I hope not the UK, the waitlists here are insane (and not in a good way) :(

        oh hey there, me too!

you should actually be able to just get hrt directly from your gp if that’s what you’re going for, they’re able to prescribe it and informed consent is the norm now.

your normal gp may not feel comfortable doing it if they haven’t before, so you might need to shop around (if possible), but it seems like most people I know do it this way now.

Death before detransition (or never having the chance to), at least that was how it felt for me.

I didn’t do DIY because it sounded spooky but turns out, it’s literally just like the official route, just without all the gatekeeping and information. For informing you’d best consult transfem science (and transmasc, transby science if that exists), or a GP you trust, or someone who also does it.

Honestly if I’d known that I’d have done this so much sooner. Even if as trial only for three months (up until then everything should be generally reversible), it’d have been worth.

But yeah, that sounds like transphobe island indeed.

    fuck yeah, congratulations! 🥳

it’s such a relief to find out when healthcare professionals work under an informed consent model, and you don’t need to fight them just to access healthcare ✌️
