Hey all! I was wondering what are / were some intrusive thoughts you had?

For me and the reason why I ask, is because I just opened my tool storage to grab a broom. I saw my collection of sand paper and the electric grinder there and thought ‘Hmmm I wonder if you could sandpaper the legs to be suuuuuper smooth and hairless?’.

I did not give in - sanity was restored in time, buuuut that made me wonder what weird and intrusive thoughts you all might have had.

Guess I buy some wax for the legs then :-/ stupid hair keeps growing back…

i had similar thoughts. stuff like planing my bodies surfaces … did not do. :) it got better after i came to think of myself as trans and even better with hrt. i once plucked every aingle hair in my face with pincers, though. that wasn’t a good day. but laser has helped a lot on that end.

i have come to even like my body. :)

Oh god that must have been quite painful, I only engaged in some plucking and that was quite irritating 🥹 can’t imagine doing my whole face.

I’ve got an appointment today to potentially get that whole HRT thing on the way. So maybe, fingers crossed, in half a year, at the earliest, I may be able to start that. Hope it will help with that.

But I swear the cupboard now tempts me like the green goblin. Saying that big laser doesn’t want me to know about it, I only have to try 🤣

I can’t remember any trans related intrusive thoughts but I did lose out to one and ended up slapping my wife in the face (lightly) with a fried egg 🤣

Mostly it’s been dipping the neighbours up to their waists in sodium hydrochloride hydroxide. Fucking hate those assholes (and autocorrect).

Asking for a friend, what are the effects of a moderate amount of that stuff on the skin and does it leave the skin smooth :3?

Also what have they done to deserve a free bath special?

It literally turns the fat and oils in your skin to soap. I wouldn’t recommend it. Basic chemicals do feel slippery, but it’s because it’s damaging your skin.

They’ve been making multiple frivolous noise complaints about us because our kids are sometimes quite noisy (although not outside of what’s reasonably expected for kids of that age) and they live underneath us.

Yeah, I get them here and there. Not usually an issue unless you’re prone to giving in to them.

As for legs, you may try a cheap IPL gun. That’s how I got rid of hair on my legs, arms, and chest. Hair grows in cycles and it never truly goes away unless you really damage the roots good like with electrolysis. Even with that, some will show up here and there after months or years in other follicles that weren’t visible at the time or weren’t damaged enough.

IPL is only really effective on the thicker, darker hair and only if you have lighter skin. And while it’s less painful than electrolysis, there is some pain, but waxing has pain, too. Just have to be careful to shave well before using it so there’s no hair above the skin which can cause burns. And you have to do it often at first and then touch up over time. But it was a game changer for me without being as expensive as laser or electrolysis treatments. I did some laser and electrolysis on the face and the genital area for my bottom surgery, but mostly because insurance helped with the cost. Electrolysis is very time consuming since it’s one hair at a time, so for large areas like legs it didn’t seem worth it.

I surprised myself having some intrusive thoughts in a moment I was feeling quite down. (not gonna detail because I don’t want to trigger somebody)

I’ve shocked myself because I wasn’t thinking I could have these. But these are rare and I know better.

I hope they stay rare, better yet don’t return at all. Hopefully you have the support you need if they were to come back, also note, that you can always reach out to me and probably to others here as well if you are feeling down!

Thanks, but no worries, I don’t think it will happen much and, if it happens it hasn’t stayed.

        Tw : the intrusive thought

        Tap for spoiler

It was more about sh. Never did, but it was a shock to me that I could have this kind of thoughts.
