that’s right, catbox works again! after posting this, i’m rushing to update all the posts i made with high quality pngs instead of those terrible quality webp things.

the last panel reads like a bit much but i think it’s fine.

i promised someone here and the 196 chat that there would be happy tears today and this is what i had in mind. it’s now made, horray.

Lilac was still down from the situation with Orange, so they are very happy to have White to cuddle with now.

i’m thinking of making an interactive version of these posts at the end of this. where you can see all the different layers, disable some, move them maybe, have a parallax effect and such.
i imagine the process would be rather easy and also i have ample time, so why not. i know my way around Godot and like making fun effects and making things look nice, so yea, that seems like a fun project. cuz… i got nothin else to do, so yeah-
it would obviously be a FOSS project, which would make all the posts i’ve made and the viewer-play thingy GPL3. what a fun idea… maybe. it would also have all the alt texts i write but which many clients just don’t show… sometimes those are detailed!!!.. they take time…

i’ve been veeery lazy with this one as you can tell. it’s almost all copy pasted.
also, good to know: don’t use transparency masks and such if you are working with simple stuff like this. it’s just not worth the hastle unless you want to make an overlay effect or whatever, which i didn’t do here. just use layers and that’s usually enough.

      mhm mhm yes, being really held like that, not just performatively but really genuinely held, maybe a bit tightly, maybe swaying side to side a bit maybe. yes, that makes feels go ~

      also, it was really funny, i saw like “woah 5 new comments!!?!? no way people finally commenting on my day 27 post?” but it was all you >v< which i mean - is certainly not worse, but unexpected.

      i know i know it sucks, so many clients don’t support basic features like alt texts and display names.
      just to give you a taste, here’s the alt text for this post:

          current day VLMs ( vision-language-models, or chatbots with vision capability) cannot transcribe my posts accurately, so i think the alt text is somewhat necessary.
